To approve a $280,000 School Bond Issue for Moyers Public Schools

On August 27, 2024, a bond election will be placed before the patrons of Moyers Public Schools. The School District has facilities that are in immediate need. With your help, we can address these needs.

The proposed bond issue will provide the funds needed to renovate the old elementary school building. Renovations will include roofing, flooring, windows, and other needed improvements.

These improvements will help benefit the school and students by giving our school room for growth. We do not want the old elementary building to be neglected.

This bond issue will be repaid from property taxes collected within the Moyers School District. Because the school currently has no bonds outstanding, this will cause a slight increase in property taxes for a 10-year period. We have only not had this tax amount for one year so it will go back to the previous taxed amount. For every $100 a patron currently pays in annual property taxes, their taxes would increase by approximately $8.77 per year or $0.75 per month. For example, if you pay $500 a year in property taxes, your monthly increase would be approximately $3.75.

Vote August 27 Moyers Public Schools!
