Moyers 4-H Students Participate in Pushmataha County and Tulsa State Fairs

When September rolls around each year, you will find Moyers 4-H students busy either creating art and science projects or walking and grooming their animals in preparation for the Pushmataha County Fair.  These students are dedicated members of the Moyers 4-H Club and they represent Moyers School in an excellent manner. After all, their 4-H motto is “To make the best better,” and their pledge is “I pledge my head to clearer thinking, my heart to greater loyalty, my hands to larger service and my health to better living  for my club, my community, my country and my world.”   This year our 4-H members had many entries in the county fair and many of these entries won awards, which qualified them for entrance in  Tulsa State Fair.  And many of the Tulsa State Fair entries won awards as well, which is quite an honor, especially considering the number of entries that come from all around the state of Oklahoma.

We at Moyers are extremely proud of our 4-H kids and their leaders, Starlene Cole (elementary leader) and Danna Bailey (junior high/high school leader).  If one spends any time at all with our 4-H members, it is evident that they do in fact, strive to make the best better.
